Play is one of the main ways in which children learn and it helps to build self-worth by giving a child a sense of his or her own abilities and to feel good about themselves. Because it’s fun, children often become very absorbed in what they are doing, which in turn helps them develop the ability to concentrate.

Our sensitive individual planning and assessment cycle builds on children’s current interests and fascinations which supports all aspects of their learning and development, encourages their in-built curiosity and desire to make sense of the world around them
and helps them to discover that learning is interesting and fun. This is vitally important if children are going to remain keen learners for the rest of their lives.
