British EYFS
Primrose follows the British Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework — a globally recognised approach to nurturing children from birth to five years through play, exploration, and warm guidance. At primrose nursery, children become part of our community starting from 1 to 4 years old.

The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) is the UK's gold-standard framework for early years care and education. It outlines seven areas of development, each balanced between play and structured learning.
Each of the seven EYFS learning areas has its own dedicated focus at Primrose nursery.
Stories, songs, and conversation grow confident speakers and active listeners.
Children learn to self-regulate, build positive relationships and become confident learners.
Active play supports children's both fine and gross motor development, coordination and growing independence.
Phonics, mark-making, sensory exploration, songs and a love of reading from day one.
Counting, numbers, patterns, shapes, measure, and gentle problem-solving through hands-on play.
Exploring people, cultures, nature that help children develop curiosity and make connections to the world around them.
Supporting creativity for big imaginations.

Play is not a break from learning at Primrose — IT IS the learning. Children build vocabulary while pretending to run a café, count out loud while threading beads, learn cooperation through outdoor games, and discover science when sand meets water.
We value strong partnership with parents and keep you connected to your child's day through our Parent app, providing regular updates and communication.
All snacks and meals brought from home are checked by the Primrose Nursery team on a daily basis to help ensure the health and safety of every child. The nursery follows a strict no-nuts policy, and parents are kindly requested not to send any food containing nuts or nut-based ingredients. Primrose Nursery does not provide meals or snacks; however, fresh drinking water is available for children throughout the day.
